Here I am
It took me till Sunday morning to finally give in and commit to doing this. I had been reading Genesis already so catching up was not difficult. My only hesitation was my own laziness.
I’m a big fan of reading the Bible, especially all of it, because that way we’ll read the parts that are often ignored. I’m also a big fan of reading together with others, this is a wonderful way to really grow and encourage and sharpen one another. I’m going to need the encouragement, the challenge, the rebuking, if I am to grow in my faith.
So, here I am. I’m reading The Message. I’m not sure why, just had an impulse moment one evening when I was thinking I need something “fresh” to give me a different insight into the Scriptures. I’m curious what everyone else is reading. I’ll certainly have another translation, commentary and concordance near by.
Writing helps me think, so I might write a lot, but I’ll try not to hog the posting. I love the dialogue this can create for us through out the week. Feel free to comment and give different opinions on anything I post, this should be an opportunity to challenge each other.
